For This Site
Let's say you want to edit something on this website. Either there is a typo, or you want to add a blogpost or whatever. The process is pretty straightforward.
-
Click the "EDIT THIS PAGE" button on the bottom of the page. It will bring you to the corresponding file on Codeberg.
-
Either edit the file on in the Codeberg webUI and commit, or clone the git repo to your machine and edit it there then commit and push
-
Rebuild and deploy the site (see more info in the above alert).
For the Club as a whole
The #1 way to contribute is to invite your friends to join this group. But if you are looking for more ways than that, here are some options:
-
Close an issue on the issue tracker. This tracker includes things about running the club, not just the website.
-
Spearhead some sort of a campaign or event for this club, such as:
- Organizing some people to contribute to a FOSS project
- Hosting a guest speaker
- Doing a workshop to install some software or teach some skill
-
Make advertising materials for the club. Feel free to make your own art or use existing things
-
Help other club members with their FOSS-related tech problems
-
Keep the website up to date and write content for it
